Science Night - The Ice Age

6:00 - 8:00 p.m.; $2 per person, members free

Curious about the natural world around you? Bring your family to Elgin Public Museum's Science Night! Different stations will be set up around the Museum, such as the Paleolithic art station for this drop-in program. Adults and kids can conduct experiments, experience demonstrations and partake in discussions about this month's topic: the Ice Age! No registration necessary.

Bison Feeding in Lords Park Zoo
7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., Fee: $2 per adult, $1 per child, $5 per family, members free

Our own Lords Park is the home of one of North America's most magnificent animals - the American Bison. Help feed the bison, as well as the deer and elk, while sipping hot chocolate provided by the Museum. Discover amazing facts and learn about the care needed to keep the animals happy and healthy. Meet at the Elgin Public Museum at 7:00 a.m. for a brief introduction to the animals, then walk together down to the zoo. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Junior Girl Scout Badge Workshop

Complete Frosty Fun and Your Outdoor Surroundings badge requirements at Hawthorne Hill Nature Center. Elgin Public Museum and Hawthorne Hill Nature Center staff will take you outdoors to hike, play and explore. We will have some activities indoors, too. Space is limited, so register early
