Native American Cultural Day
10 AM – 4 PM; FREE
Come to Lords Park for the annual celebration of Native American culture hosted by the Elgin Public Museum. Throughout the day different activities will be available to the public. One of our most popular, The Bison Blessing, will be held across from the bison pen. Time will be announced at a later date. A Native American elder will bless and thank the bison for all that they have provided. Enjoy a portrayal of a Potawatomi Indian from the late 18th and early 19th century, as performed by Sal Red Hawk of Elgin. Visit our website or call 847-741-6655 for more information.
