  • This program based on Dr. Suess' classic story,The Lorax, will earn the Rose Petal.

Brownie Try-Its

Animals Try-It # 2,3,4,5

  • The museum is home to many specimens of animals. You can also see bison, elk, and deer herds in Lord's Park Zoo!

Earth and Sky Try-It #2,3,4,5

  • The museum is a great place to learn about these topics.

Eco-Explorer Try-It #1,2,3,4

  • There are many habitats to explore in the museum and outside in Lords Park.

Science in Action Try-It #1,2,3,4,5

  • All materials for experiments are supplied (bonus -- no clean-up for leaders!)

Senses Try-It #1,2,4,6

  • Explore all of your senses with objects selected from nature.

Sounds of Music Try-It #1,2,3,5

  • We have instruments from around the world to see and play!

Watching Wildlife Try-It# 1,2,3,6

  • The museum and park are home to many animals.

Water Everywhere Try-It #1,2,4,5

  • Lords Park is home to 3 lagoons and a creek.

 


Junior Girl Scout Badges

Junior Girl Scouts can earn the following badges in one session by choosing from the numbered requirements:

  • Earth Connections : #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
  • Wildlife: #1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7
  • Rocks Rock : #3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9
  • Science Discovery: #1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9

  • Junior Girl Scout classes are offered as two-hour sessions.
