Deep Roots – Green Future: City Planning in Elgin
Developed by the Elgin Area Historical Society and Museum, this traveling exhibit investigates Elgin’s economic development, urban design, housing, transportation, recreation and environmental conservation. Discover Elgin’s connection to renowned urban developer, Daniel Burnham, who said, “Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir humanity’s blood.”
Programs are scheduled around this exhibit, including Bill Briska’s adult lecture “From Burnham to Today: Elgin City Planning.” It is on Friday, April 9, 7 – 8 p.m.
